Manchurian Cauliflower

(Grain free version)


  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • knob of ginger (tsp)
  • 1tsp of salt
  • 1tsp tamari soy sauce
  • 1tbl apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1tsp Coconut oil
  • 1tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper corns
  • Asofoetida (pinch per serving)
  • 1stp Turmeric
  • 1tsp Chili


Prep Vegetables: Finely chop onions, tomatoes, garlic & ginger. Roughly chop cauliflower

In a wok, melt 1 tsp of coconut oil, add spices (seeds) and then add onions, garlic & ginger. Add tamari, salt, vinegar and maple syrup. When the onions start to brown add the tomato & pepper. Stir occasionally. When this mix reduces and becomes more saucy add the cauliflower. Mix together and add 2 mugs of water. Reduce on a medium heat until cauliflower has reduced
